A DISABILITY HOME OR ORPHANAGE?

Most of us are into charity work in this country, actors are donating, these small bodies are also donating.
But what do we see, it seems these orphans never get enough, they seem to be always lacking, are they entitled to only used clothings, can't they also wear something brand new.

I have not visited all the orphanage homes in Ghana, but the few I have visited is having kids who look like they are disabled, kids who look like they are malnourished, kids who cannot even speak, kids who need intensive care and not what they are receiving.

The budget of Ghana was  read some weeks ago and the names of orphans was no where to be found. It is as if they are not part of Ghana. We have heard all sorts of campaign messages including cultivating cassava, but we never hear anything about taking care of orphans. Is it that we have forgotten about them or we have intentionally neglected them?

The day I visit OSU orphanage home, I will call for a Press conference. Even the nature of the buildings for orphans is not something to write home about. The whole house is having a sort of scent one cannot stand, their lightening system is not very encouraging. How do you expect a healthy child out of such an environment.

A home of about 50 children and  is only one mother who sleeps with them, who will bath all these 50children at night?. Incase something happens will she run out with all these 50kids who include toddlers. Is it the fault of management?or the fault of the government? or the negligence of duty on the side of the mothers?. So under which ministry does Orphans fall. Oh! Ghana.

When was the last time an orphanage was painted, visit these private owned orphanages around and you will love to stay with them, go to the government ones and you will want to give out and leave as soon as possible. How do you create a dull environment and expect a bright child out of it.

The children are more like disabled than orphans. Anas Arimiyao Anas made an investigation in one of these orphanage homes  and what was the result? Nothing!!,  just a press release and no solution what so ever was worked on.

Everybody thinks orphans get a lot of donations and do not need help, the truth is , upon all these donations, they still have nothing , who to blame we are yet to know, but the government we can fully blame. Lend not only your hands but your heart and soul to orphans, you will be amazed the great returns from your Creator.

Are we waiting till the day a tragedy befalls an orphanage before we turn our attention towards them?
They are more of children below 15 and this is the time they need us the most.
